Perennial was founded in 2018 by three friends (Jack, David, and Oleksiy) who believe that technology could advance agricultural production and restore natural ecosystems. With families coming from farms in the United States and Ukraine, they understood that changing how we farm has the potential to transform how we feed and protect the planet.
Using what they’d learned in our past lives —searching for life on Mars, studying soil in the Amazon, and building robots in a garage — they set out to create a company that would unlock financial incentives needed to turn soil into the world’s largest carbon sink.
